Gloria
Melbourne Theatre Company presents
Gloria

16 Jun 2018 to 21 Jul 2018

Editorial assistant Dean stumbles into work, hungover from a party at the home of the ‘office freak’ Gloria. As his ambitious group of 20-something co-workers squabble, complain and generally avoid work, it’s just another day at the office of a fancy Manhattan magazine. Until suddenly it’s not. Strap yourself in for the breathtaking new play that will have everyone talking.

Branden Jacobs-Jenkins is one of the most exciting young writers on the US theatre scene. His explosive Pulitzer Prize finalist Gloria is a sharply observed satirical comedy that takes a scathing look at office politics and our exploitative, media-saturated age. Wickedly fun and amazingly astute, Gloria is a jaw-dropping, adrenaline rush of a show that will keep you constantly guessing.

One of the country’s leading directors, Lee Lewis (Rupert), takes charge for this fresh and surprising new play, featuring a favourite of stage and screen, Lisa McCune (The King and I), joined by Aileen Huynh (Cleverman) and newcomer Callan Colley.
