Performers wanted to make a splash

Singers, dancers, jugglers, magicians and more are needed to perform at the annual Splashfest on 10 March.

Presented by the City of Nedlands at Swanbourne Reserve, Splashfest is a afternoon of free, water-filled family fun with slides, rides, games, stalls and other activities, embracing WA’s extended summer climate.

A chillout marquee is also on hand for people to take a break from the wet’n’wild fun to sit, relax and enjoy the cavalcade of entertainment on offer.

Nedlands Mayor Max Hipkins said the marquee was a great opportunity for people to showcase their performing abilities, no matter what their talent.

“Splashfest is always popular with youth, children and families, creating a dynamic hub of music, recreation, performance and community,” he said.

“There are plenty of talented people out there and we’re offering a platform for them to share what they’ve got with a wider audience, making Splashfest a prime opportunity for up-and-coming performers.

“Splashfest continues to be a celebration like no other and we’re keen for people to join in with whatever entertainment they have to offer, helping to kick along the summer vibe.

“It’s always a fun day in the sun and the City of Nedlands wants to add to the atmosphere by providing a diverse and eclectic range of performers to watch and listen to, so people can chill at the same time.”
