Maitland Repertory Theatre is an amateur community theatre group run by volunteers. MRT owns and operates its own theatre in an historic church building and produces six seasons of 9 performances each year.

Apart from staging productions, there are two groups which meet regularly for play readings, training, development, impro, social interaction or to prepare plays for drama festivals.

These groups are:
•Junior Repertory (8 - 16 years)
•Reamus Youth (16 - 25 years
