Of Auburn
The Stirling Players Incorporated ( SA ) presents
Of Auburn

22 Feb 2022 to 23 Feb 2022

Weaving together the life and poetry of CJ Dennis with the narration of WW1 nurse Madge Yeatman Of Auburn by Steven Oppes stirs  emotions through theatre, poetry, personal testimony, live music and AV technology to tell the stories of Dennis and the women of World War I.
Lisa Harper Campbell (The Double Bass, Watchlist) directs Nic Conway (Abbott! The Musical) who “is funny, poignant and entrancing to watch” and Clare Mansfield (ANZAC Girls) who “is convincing, as she switches from nurse to nurse, cleverly painting their stories as vivid verbal images.” Music from Minnie Little with “beautiful vocals in French, telling stories from women’s perspectives of war, float through the room with crystal clear accompaniment on piano and cello” Stage Whispers
