Buried Child
National University Theatre Society presents
Buried Child

26 Apr 2017 to 29 Apr 2017

Set in the rural backwaters of Illinois in the 1970s, Buried Child follows a fragmented family struggling to survive on their barren farm. When a distant grandson shows up unannounced with his girlfriend, family pretenses begin to crumble and the hidden truths of their dark history are slowly unveiled.

Intensely poignant and touching, Buried Child is a sober and confronting portrait of the traditional nuclear family in the postmodern era and critically examines the disillusionment and myth of the American Dream.
