Five-dollar school holiday fun in the Hills
Roleystone Theatre presents
Five-dollar school holiday fun in the Hills

9 Oct 2013 to 12 Oct 2013

FUN for children of all ages awaits at Roleystone Theatre during the October school holidays.

With all tickets $5, Storytime in the Hills features two short plays written and directed by local music teacher Nicole George.

Kyle’s Rainbow Day is about a young man named Kyle who decides to wear his favourite shirt to school for free-dress day,” she said.

“Along the way he learns it’s okay to be yourself and a little different, as well as some nifty songs about different colours.

Caramel’s Sweet Tooth is about a lovely, fluffy sweet bear called Caramel, who likes to eat sweets – and nothing but sweets!

“When he eats one too many sweets at Pretty Dolly’s birthday party, they have to call the Toy Doctor.”

A long-time member of Roleystone Theatre, George also appeared in the Australian premiere of the southern American comedy Second Samuel at the Subiaco Arts Centre in 2010.

Storytime in the Hills came about last year when we recognised there was a need for theatre shows for our little ones,” she said.

“A lot of Roleystone Theatre members have young children but we were limited in what we could take them to see in the area, so it was suggested we write our own short plays to meet this need.”

Storytime in the Hills plays at 11am and 2pm, October 9, 11 and 12. All tickets are $5 and include a light snack (children under three are free but must sit on an adult’s lap) – book on 9397 5730 or at www.roleystonetheatre.com.au.

Roleystone Theatre is located at 587 Brookton Highway, Roleystone, opposite the Croyden Road junction.
