Amy Crawford is producer, actor, director and and improviser in Canberra. In 2016 Amy founded Canberra’s premier improvised theatre troupe, Lightbulb Improv, known for its lively unscripted comedy. Amy is the current festival director for Short+Sweet Canberra and previous festival co-Director for Canberra Unscripted.

Amy performs monthly in comedy shows, teaches regularly, directs and performs at international festivals. She has directed several shows for Lightbulb Improv, Canberra Unscripted festival and comedy Revues. Amy is co-directing and performing in The Door at the Canberra Theatre Centre (May 2021).

When not making things up, Amy enjoys scripted work. Her most recent role with the Canberra Repertory Society was Blanche in Brighton Beach Memoirs (Canberra 2020).  Amy won best actor in the Short+Sweet festival for her role in "The Snow Angel of Antarctica” (Canberra 2019). She was also a  very convincing stage mum in Budding Theatre's "A Christmas Carol Goes Horribly Terribly Wrong" (2019).

Amy continues to build her drama skill as estabilished at the University of Queensland (Brisbane), private studies with June Finney (Brisbane), improvisation festivals (NZIF), and classes with Mockingbird Studio (Canberra).
