Shelly Miller

Shelly has been lighting shows since the late '90s-2000s. She began at University Theatres at UWA under the tuition of then Head Technician, John Doyle, whilst she majored in Theatre Studies. She went on to light multiple shows at the Dolphin Theatre for a range of clubs including The French Society, Graduate Dramatic Society and The Italian Club.
Shelly also acted as lighting assistant at The Blue Room Theatre and Rechabites Hall in the early 2000s, undertaking rigging, plotting and operating duties as well as follow-spot operation for a range of shows. After a break from lighting whilst becoming a secondary Drama Teacher for 17 yrs, she is now the Production Manager of Darlington Theatre Players at Marloo Theatre in Greenmount. Shows she has designed, operated and technically coordinated here include Les Miserables, The Jungle Book, and Footloose. Shelly has also recently worked with Serial Productions at Old Mill Theatre, designing Wife After Death (2017), The Foreigner, (2018) and The Nerd, (2019).
