Sean Guy is a Darwin-based author, playwright, and screenwriter. He currently has four novels in print, which include "Malediction: The Cursed Play", a Shakespearean murder-mystery, and three novels in the urban fantasy Tower City Chronicles: "The Firebringer", "Voodoo Games", and "Seraph".
Sean has written a number of plays. In 2022, his play "Under the Table" won the NT Literary Awards for the Brown's Mart Theatre category. It was performed by amateur theatre company Big Dog Salad, and sold out Darwin Fringe Festival. It was brought back, and sold out an additional encore season of three nights.
Sean's play "Last Call" has also gained some success. It has been performed in Darwin and in Sydney, and is regarded as a subversive tragicomedy that will surprise and shock audiences. It made national headlines for its inclusion of a deaf actor in 2021.
Sean has also written "The Green Affair", "A Very Modern Pregnancy", and "The Coffee Lounge", all commissioned by high schools. And a short film called "Enough" for Darwin International Film Festival. He hopes to continue building these skills.
