It might not seem like it has its roots in comedy, but Accidental Death Of An Anarchist is a satirical work based on a 1969 incident in Milan, in which a suspected anarchist railway worker accused of terrorist attacks fell to his death from a fourth-story window during a police interrogation.
His death was deemed suicide - but the subsequent police report held blatant contradictions.
What unfolds is a farcical tale of bureaucratic bungling with political punch, as 'the maniac', a borderline lunatic who loves theatre, carries out a variety of impersonations in an attempt to infiltrate the police headquarters to find out exactly what's going on...
Accidental Death Of An Anarchist is Limbo Theatre's debut work.
A co-production with Honest Puck.
Written by Dario Fo. Directed by Clare Moss.
