Under Milk Wood
Canberra Repertory Society presents
Under Milk Wood

11 Apr 2013 to 27 Apr 2013

A trip through the mindscape of a small Welsh village, with love, death, tragedy, comedy and everything in betweenthats what awaits you with Dylan Thomas magical play for voices .

In the early morning in the town of Llareggub, everybody dreamsof their loves, lusts, hopes and fears: Captain Cat and his lost love, Rosie Probert; the neatness-obsessed Mrs. Ogmore-Pritchard; the would-be poisoner Mr Pugh; the eager teenager Mae Rose Cottage and the romantically inclined Polly Garter.

Duncan Ley is one of Canberras most appreciated actors, writers and directors, with Rep productions including And Then There Were None and Pride and Prejudice, as well as innovative productions with Everyman Theatre, most recently the stunning Pool (No Water). He returns to Rep and to his own Southern-Welsh heritage (hailing originally from Bryncoch, near Neath), using an ensemble of 11 actors playing over 80 characters to bring Dylan Thomas play-for-voices to vibrant visual life.
