Linda has well and truly made her home here on the coast and, following her success in the Direction and Musical Direction of Urinetown for the Coolum Theatre Players, she is now keen to bring Sweet Charity to life at the Coolum Civic Centre in August.

Sweet Charity” is a bittersweet story about a woman who, despite unrelenting failures in relationship after relationship, always looks toward a brighter future.  The music is vibrant and entertaining, featuring such greats as Sweet Charity, Rhythm of Life, Big Spender and If My Friends Could See Me Now.

Linda has worked for many years as a Music Specialist in many Schools and Colleges across all year levels in 4 states, as well as being heavily involved in Community Theatre, Youth Theatre and Music.  Some of her successes in Musical Productions include: Little Shop of Horrors, Fiddler on the Roof, West Side Story, Grease and Guys and Dolls.

Lachlan Money is "Oscar Lindquist"

Sunshine Coast born and raised, Lachlan has played roles ranging from children’s pantomimes to historic dramas. Working in Coolum Theatre Players and BATS Theatre Company productions, some of Lachlan’s favourite characters he has performed as have been Harry the Miller’s Son in Puss and Boots and playing Prince Charming in Cinderella. Excited to take the stage once again in Coolum, it is Lachlan’s drive in life to remove stress from the lives of those around him and replace it with happiness, and feels that community theatre is the perfect outlet for this."

Jesse Hana Ellison is the star of the show "Charity"

She has studied Musical theatre, Dance, Stage/Screen Acting, and Standup Comedy. After finally finishing her studies, she became a core performer for 6 years, at Twelfth Night Theatre, where she performed in numerous musicals, Pantomimes, and Farcical Comedies. Highlights include touring internationally with Jon English and John Inman.

Since moving to the Sunshine Coast and joining Coolum Theatre Players in 2009 she has performed in many Alliance Theatre productions. Highlights include (in no particular order)

“Secret Bridesmaids Business” (BATS) and “Don’t Dress for Dinner (The Lind)

But her heart is truly in Coolum, having performed in “Cinderella”, “The Young Ones”, “Flying Feathers”, “The Great Pretenders the Encore”, “Urinetown” and most recently “Adrift in Macao”.

“It’s great working with director Linda Gefken again. She has wonderful vision. “Charity” is a very exciting role, but my most challenging yet. It’s HUGE”.
