One of William Shakespeare's best known and most celebrated works, Romeo and Juliet is the timeless tale of a young couple who value their love for each other above all else, and make the ultimate sacrifice for what they believe in.In a bold new take on the classic tale, Hillbilly Productions has moved the location of the story, taking the characters and rich verse of the Bard and placed them in a vibrant, barren plain of the African Savannah. With bold and primal tones brought squarely to the surface, the war between the Montagues and Capulets has never been more real or intense. Combining contemporary costume, dance, tribal music and Shakespeare's iconic text, this riveting production will impress theatreaudiences young and old alike.
Emma has a huge passion for performing, which she does as often as she can. It is her escape, her joy, her love, and she has vowed to never give it up.
Emma has done lots of little roles on stage, but has recently performed in bigger productions. Her favourite roles so far have been Mercy Lewis in Page To Stage's 'The Crucible'; Maria in Adlib Young Performer's 'Twelfth Night' and Vincentio in Adlib Young Performer's 'Taming of The Shrew'.
Emma can always be found lurking somewhere around the theatre. Whether it's actually on the stage, or doing sound and lighting, backstage or even costumes.
However, when Emma is not doing all things theatre-ish, she can be found in a classroom as an Eductaional Support Worker.
