The 2016 CAT Awards 22nd Gala event will recognise the enormous contribution made by non-professional groups and individuals to the artistic life of Australia, especially in the NSW regions.

Be part of the excitement as guest presenters are joined on stage by the talented award winners in acknowledgement of their stellar work in 2016.  

CAT Award categories include Best Ensemble in a play, Best Actor in a featured role in a play, Best Choreographer, Best Set Designer for a play, among many others that serve to encourage and recognise individuals in the performing arts.

The Canberra Area Theatre Awards (CAT Awards) have been part of the theatre, dance and musical scene in Canberra and the surrounding districts since 1994.  For the past 22 years they have embraced NSW areas from Canberra, Queanbeyan, Dubbo, Griffith, Orange, Molong, Shellharbour, Mittagong, Merimbula, Bateman’s Bay, and all areas in between.
