Dry Land

28 Jul 2017 to 19 Aug 2017

Set in the locker room of a Florida high school, Dry Land is a haunting new play about female friendship and abortion. Written when Spiegel was just twenty-one, it’s a deeply truthful portrait of the fears, hopes and bonds of teenage girls — as gut-wrenching as it is funny.

Ester is a swimmer trying to stay afloat. Amy is curled up on the locker room floor. Dry Land is a play about female intimacy, abortion and resiliency. And, what happens in one high school locker room after everybody’s left.

Dry Land by Ruby Rae Spiegel

Presented by Outhouse Theatre Co and Mad March Hare at the KXT Theatre

Directed by Claudia Barrie

Produced by Jeremy Waters and Claudia Barrie

With Sarah Meacham, Michelle Ny, Patricia Pemberton and Charles Upton
