Mistakes were Made

29 Nov 2018 to 2 Dec 2018

Felix Artifex, a New York theatre producer has discovered a play he believes will redeem his career, resuscitate his marriage, and revitalise his life. He even has a the world's biggest movie star - Johnny Blesdoe - interested in playing the lead. But Johnny wants a few alterations to the script, and the author is not convinced of the proposed changes. In one chaotic afternoon, Felix has to convince the actor, the writer, their agents, and the theatre owner that Mistakes Were Made - an epic play about the French Revolution - will be the success that they all long for.

Journey with Felix into the turbulent, and often riotous depths of Broadway negotiations, in this "exquisite piece of comic writing" (The New Yorker). Directed by Brendan Kelly, starring James Scott, Tijana Kovac, and puppeteer Jenny Ng.

"Wright's play is a doozy—a deceptively deep, fiendishly mapped look at warped priorities, artistic compromise and the hunger for success, with show biz (what else?) as the animating fixation…[an] ever-escalating farce of warped thinking, deranged egos and the sweaty, megalomaniacal quest for the spotlight…" —Chicago Sun-Times.
