Riverside’s National Theatre of Parramatta presents
NOTHING
Sydney Premiere
By Pelle Koppe
Adapted From The Novel By Janne Teller
Directed By Erin Taylor

A chilling tale. In a world driven by anarchy. Think Lord of the Flies meets Hunger Games with a Nordic twist.

“In a few years you’ll all be dead!”

Pierre-Anthon in his gospel of teen nihilism declares that there is no meaning to life.

Determined to prove him wrong, his classmates start to give up things of importance and pile them in a sacrificial “heap of meaning”. Treasures and much-loved things amp up this feverish gang of youths. No one is exempt, nothing is off limits.

An adaptation of Janne Teller’s controversial novel Nothing, censored for a time, prior to being awarded the Best Book Prize by the Danish Ministry for Culture, the prestigious Le Prix Libbylit and the American Michael L. Printz Honor Award.
