Chicago is a dazzling and satirical look at fame, justice and the media machine. Based in 1920s Chicago, a time of jazz, liquor and the quest for fame. We follow the journey of two rival starlets, the well-established and famous Velma Kelly and aspiring performer Roxie Hart, who both find themselves in the Cook County Jail for murder.
Represented by the same smooth talking lawyer Billy Flynn, tensions between Roxie and Velma come to a head as the fight for his attention and the media spotlight. After all, this is their biggest performance opportunity to date.
Regardless of the noose hanging over their head, Roxie and Velma continue to push the boundary on the age old saying – how far are you willing to go for fame?
