The Wrong Mountain

1 Jul 2022 to 9 Jul 2022

A light-hearted look at women 'of a certain age'.

Beth is a mature-aged widow, who is told off by Nicky, her cleaner for climbing a ladder ‘at her age’. In defiance of appearing elderly, she decides to climb Mount Everest, but later realises that she will have to keep to her claim if she doesn’t want to lose face with people in her local community.

Kaz and Val are of a similar age, and help her try and overcome her fear of climbing and her need to get fit in time, albeit in unconventional and often hilarious ways. More realistic assistance comes from Adam, Beth’s nephew, and his friend Rob, Kirsty, from Everest & Beyond, and Lara, the Personal Trainer. A complication arises with Beth’s new neighbour, Dave, who appears to be charming, a similar age… and single.

Will climbing the highest mountain in the world solve Beth’s issue about growing old? Or will dealing with hidden agendas, suppressed feelings and advancing years prove to be an even higher mountain?
