Sydney Gay & Lesbian Choir (SGLC) will bring their unique charm and enthusiastic community spirit to the Newcastle Fringe Festival, presenting their latest repertoire from their upcoming 80s-inspired concert, as well as classic SGLC anthems at the Hamilton Uniting Church on Saturday 23rd March.
Featuring tunes from Madonna to Diana Ross, Rina Sawayama to Cyndi Lauper, audiences will be taken on a musical journey throughout the ages, with songs of inclusivity, kindness and acceptance of who you want to be.
Sydney Gay & Lesbian Choir has been the soundtrack of Sydney’s LGBTQI community for more than 30 years. It is a non-auditioned choir which welcomes members regardless of their sexual identity or musical experience. The choir is open to all, united by a love of singing together and striving for performance excellence. A powerful symbol of diversity, inclusion and harmony, the choir has maintained a vital and visible presence in the history of Sydney’s LGBTQIA+ community since 1991.
