The Mysterious Tale of the Mary-Celeste
Written by Elizabeth Avery Scott
Directed by James Scott
In 1872, the merchant ship Mary-Celeste was discovered abandoned near the Azores Islands, with no sign of its captain or crew. More than a century later, the mystery of what happened continues to intrigue historians and adventurers alike.
This 35-minute comedy takes audiences on a thrilling and imaginative journey through the many theories behind the famous "ghost ship", combining mystery, humour, and unforgettable characters.
Festival of Monologues
Following the play, enjoy the finals of our Youth Monologue Competition, featuring selected young performers from online entries as they showcase their acting skills, characterisation, and storytelling in front of an audience and adjudicators. The awarding ceremony will be held on 11 July.
