Lainie Hart
ACT
After a number of years focusing her attention on plays, Lainie is having a delicious time taking on the hearty challenge of singing and dancing again in the magical world of Mary Poppins. Her most recent productions with Free Rain include August: Osage County (2014), and A Month of Sundays (2013); and with Canberra Repertory, the productions of Arcadia (2014), Twelfth Night (2014), The Book of Everything (2013), The Memory of Water (2012) and Speaking in Tongues (2012). Musical theatre roles include Maria in The Sound of Music (Queanbeyan Players), Fraulein Kost in Cabaret (Canberra Philharmonic) and her irreplaceable favourite - Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar (Canberra Philharmonic). Lainie also had the privilege of working with Andrew Hackwill and Jonathan Flack in their original production of It Was That Way When I Got Here, and Andrew Hackwill's productions of The Department of Heaven and Sanger Hill - the latter two of which she began developing her skills as Director.
