Emily Smith

Emily, a Perth native, has been performing on stage since the age of 5. Though her first role only consisted of smiling and bouncing her curly hair about, she has been hooked ever since. Emily obtained a BA in English and Cultural Studies at the University of Western Australia. During her time there, she enjoyed performing in Medea, The Revenger's Tragedy, Race, and The Black Watch. Outside of university, some of her favourite roles have included Lydia in Pride and Prejudice, Witch 2 in Macbeth, and playing the title role in Yerma. In 2014, she won the Robert DeVaack award for Most Promising New Talent, but The Penelopiad is her first performance since then. She is very excited to be back on the stage again.
