ACT, Canberra
Age : 19
Occupation : Media Program Officer
Dogfight
Born and raised in Canberra, Kara grew up singing her heart out to pop icons like Kylie Minogue and the Spice Girls, and had started dancing by the age of two, trying her hand at clogging, ballet and hip hop. Karas first show was CATS (St Clares College, 2015), which sparked her strong love and passion for theatre. Kara continued on to play Belle in Beauty and the Beast (St Edmunds College, 2020), landed a role as a featured dancer in Kiss Me, Kate (Queanbeyan Players, 2021), and is due to play Electra in CATS in early March this year (Canberra Philharmonic Society, 2023). When she isnt treading the boards, Kara can be found competing in the annual National Eisteddfod, and performing in the occasional cabaret. Kara was fortunate enough to win a CAT Award for her performance as Belle in Beauty and the Beast in 2020, and also took home first prize in the Budding Theatre Canberra Youth Talent Show in 2019. Kara is thrilled to be part of this amazing show and has had a blast working with the amazing cast and creative team.
