Laura McDonald is a Sydney-based screenwriter and playwright. In 2020, while undertaking the MFA in Writing for Performance at NIDA, she and Sophie Davis began their unstoppable partnership. Her 2021 directorial debut short film Reverie gained multiple festival selections, including winning Outstanding LGBTQIA+ at Indie Shorts Fest.
Her theatre works include Dont Hate the Player (2019) and How to Converse (2022). Laura seeks to make work that surprises, inspires and gets the people going.
