Sydney-based soprano Louise Keast is a permanent member of the Opera Australia Chorus and company. Whilst a Richard Divall Emerging Artist with Melbourne Opera, Louise performed Wellgunde (Wagners Das Rheingold), Countess Almaviva (Mozarts Le nozze di Figaro) and Marzelline (Beethovens Fidelio) and has performed with Victorian Opera. Recently Louise performed as First Page in Opera Australias Tannhuser (Wagner) and was a featured soloist in Chorus! at the Sydney Opera House. Other experience includes Fiordiligi (Mozarts Cosi fan Tutte), Donna Elvira (Mozarts Don Giovanni), Micala (Bizets Carmen), Adina (Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore), Mimi (Puccinis La Bohme) and Ofglen (Ruders The Handmaids Tale). In 2022 Louise presented solo recitals at the Steingraeber & Shne Kammermusiksaal in Bayreuth, Germany, and earlier this year presented solo recitals with Donna Balson in Canberra (National Opera) and Sydney. Louise was a semi-finalist in the 2023 Sydney Eisteddfod Opera Scholarship, and has been in previous years Joan Sutherland and Richard Bonynge Foundation scholarship recipient, competed in the Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition (Austria), and has been a Herald Sun Aria semi-finalist.
