OSMaD is a non-professional company which draws widely from those interested in music, theatre performance and production.

OSMaD had its beginnings in the Old Scotch Music Club (OSMC) formed originally in October 2005. Scotch College has an association with Music and Drama which now stretches over 165 years and a warranted reputation for excellence.

Each of OSMaD's musical productions have delighted audiences, drawn wide praise from critics, winning awards and gaining nominations from the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria and the Lyrebird Awards.

All productions have been staged in the Geoffrey McComas Theatre; a fully resourced state-of-the-art theatrical space.

All shows have drawn on the interest and resources which exist in the broader amateur theatrical community network and an open audition policy has always been in place to ensure that the cast and crew, whilst remaining amateur, is of the highest quality possible. In this sense the company, while encouraging participation from past students, is not restricted to the Scotch College community.
