Darlinghurst Theatre Company presents
The Gigli Concert

4 Apr 2014 to 4 May 2014

Darlinghurst Theatre Company and O’Punksky’s Theatre present

THE GIGLI CONCERT
By Tom Murphy

JPW King is a quack psychiatrist caught between the demands of Mona his mistress, Helen, the unattainable love of his life, and an insatiable taste for vodka. For King, the recurring question is how to get through each day. Then a mysterious Irishman walks into his office wanting to sing like the great Italian tenor, Beniamino Gigli...

Darlinghurst Theatre Company and O'Punksky's Theatre (The Seafarer) stage one of the great Irish plays of the last century. Widely considered to be playwright Tom Murphy’s masterpiece, The Gigli Concert is a fiercely satirical and beautifully crafted play about the endurance of the human spirit and our ability to achieve the impossible.
