10 years on from its creation, Canberra’s own youth dance ensemble Quantum Leap returns to The Playhouse in 2015 with Reckless Valour. Completely redeveloped with a new cast, this is dance theatre for everyone.

Reckless Valour was created in collaboration with The Australian War Memorial, and is a moving tribute to young Australians in war. It pays homage to the courage of ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances. It invites us to contemplate nationhood, service, and sacrifice; and to celebrate the power of young people to shape the future. Through this journey we are seeking connections between history and contemporary culture: what war means to Australians, especially young Australians.

Reckless Valour will be performed by a cast of young people auditioned from Canberra and the region as well as dancers from regional NSW and Thailand.
