Town Folk tears up the town planner’s blueprints and gets under the foundations to find out ‘who’ are the bricks and mortar that make up our community! Comedian Damian Callinan and award winning filmmaker John Cherry will capture local identities on camera to celebrate the human fabric of Queanbeyan. These clips will be combined with onstage interactions,
hijinks and stunts to present an entirely curated show based on local individuals and groups. On location for less than a week, John and Damian will create a living, vibrant time capsule of each and every place they visit.
Based on surveys sent out to the community prior to the performance, the Town Folk team will identify subjects for the show, and questions will be posed. Does Eddie make the best passionfruit sponge in town? What
makes Jenny the Travel Queen of Queanbeyan? Does Peter make the best sausages? From the pillars of the community to the lovable rogues, Callinan will introduce you to our fellow town folk in a way you may not expect.
Town Folk combines Callinan’s tailored local  observations with a genuine attempt to patch together a human tapestry of our community.
