A Clockwork Orange
Brisbane Arts Theatre presents
A Clockwork Orange

6 Jan 2018 to 17 Feb 2018

It is the story of the individual versus society; the right to free will versus the collective good. Beneath the glossy exterior lies a dark heart, a focus on youthful disaffection and the state’s attempts to control anti-social behaviour.

A Clockwork Orange combines gang culture, masculinity, racism, classism, unemployment and moral decay alongside the equally corrupt state, the failed penal system and the defunct church.

Supported by a blistering Beethoven soundtrack performed live, this is a groundbreaking staging. With a new perspective, this production features an alternating cast of both male and female actors in principal roles.
