A current second year student at The National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) in Melbourne, Jeff has been involved in theatre since Child Players ACT's 2010 production of Peter Pan, where he performed as the show's Narrator. Following this, he took on the role of Assistant Director for the 2012 and 2013 programs, also managing the DVD production of the shows. Over the years, Jeff has had the opportunity to take on several character roles, including Major General Stanley in The Pirates of Penzance, Bagheera in The Jungle Book, Charley Bates in Oliver! and a Wickersham Brother in Seussical the Musical. Jeff was also a founding member of Poncho Circus, a performance troupe founded out of emerging artists from Canberra's Warehouse Circus.

I have been writing and performing standup comedy for 6 years now including 1 gig supporting 'Capital Punishment' at the 2013 Melbourne Comedy Festival and 1 gig supporting 'Satyros' at the 2013 Canberra Comedy Festival.    I've appeared with Sammy J, and Mandy Nolan.

This is my second year participating in the Hive Programme at The Street Theatre as a solo writer performer working towards having my own 1 hour show produced at the Street Theatre.

I've spent a total of 6 weeks training in theatre clown with Giovanni Fusetti including a 1 month intensive in Boulder Colorado in 2012.

Taking regular twice weekly impro classes with Impro ACT for the past 2 years is something I enjoy.

In 2013 I wrote a 10 minute play called 'The Boat' which was accepted into the top 20 for Short and Sweet Canberra.  I am also directing the play.

A graduate from the Charles Sturt University BA Acting (Stage & Screen) course, Adam moved to Sydney, where he performed in theatre and film for three years. During this time, he performed in many brand new musicals in multiple venues.

After leaving the Sydney acting scene for a more peaceful lifestyle, Adam has been an active part of the Canberra theatre scene since 2009. He has acted, directed and judged for Short+Sweet, as well as being Festival Director in 2010. 

He has also performed with Freshly Ground Theatre, Women's Forum Theatre, Phoenix Players, Lexx Productions, Canberra Rep, Dramatic Productions and Ickle Pickle, playing a variety of roles, as well as singing and dancing.

Adam is also an accent and voice coach, with radio and voice over experience. He teaches Drama and Live Production & Services in ACT public schools, directing students in many major shows and festivals each year.

Jon has been involved in theatre in the Canberra region since 2002 as a performer, writer and director. Notable roles include Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors, Sherriff Dodd in Best Little Whorehouse in Texas,  CK Dexter Haven in High Society, and Henry Perkins in Funny Money.

His one-act play Fairytale Ending, which he also directed, was the inaugural production in Phoenix Players Phoenix Rising program for emerging artists. He has also directed numerous short plays, and co-directed Wizard of Oz for Phoenix Players in 2011.

With his involvement as Musical Director for Queanbeyan Players production of Camelot in 2006, he now only needs to overcome his two left feet to round out his resume with a choreography gig.

Ben Drysdale Full Acting Biography

Ben Drysdale began a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and English at ANU in 2000. As part of this degree he completed a 2-year Acting, Voice and Movement program at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. Since returning to Australia he has acted in a number of amateur and professional productions, been hired as a street performer at the National Folk Festival and The Multicultural Fringe Festival, assistant directed/assistant stage managed SALT at The Street Theatre, Produced and Directed three Seasons of short plays entitled Seasons of Keene at The Street Theatre, and Acted in the Street Theatre’s Professional production of The Give and Take. Ben has also been employed by The ANU Medical School, and the Department of Defense to act in role-play scenarios, and the University of Canberra as an Actor and Tutor for their Television Production 2 class.

In 2008 Ben was hired as a extra in the Ned Kelly Nuerofen advertisement, was Programs Director for The Hunting Season funded by the Foundation for Young Australians, and took up a position at the Rainbow Room, teaching Drama to mental health sufferers. In 2009 Ben has starred in three amateur short films (2 local, 1 for students of the International Film School in Sydney), and was cast as a featured extra in the feature film ‘The Competition’ written and directed by Simon Weaving, and the Toyota 4WD ‘Country Boarder Security’ advertisement shot in Cooma. In 2010 he was employed to play the lead role in the stage production ‘Our of Our Minds’ funded by the Mental Health Foundation, and continued role play work with the Department of Defense, and Centrelink.

Ben has most recently done a professional rehearsed play reading of ‘Pyjama Girl’ by Emma Gibson at the Street Theatre and and three film credits including an extra role in the feature film Galore in December 2012, and two leads in short films ‘Lights’ and ‘Trust’ in 2013. 

Oliver was first introduced to the theatre in 2007 with his first show 'Alice Through the Looking Glass' presented by ChildplayersACT. Oliver has since acted in 5 more productions with Childplayers where he has taken on major roles such as; Mike Teevee in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Baloo in The Jungle Book, Peter in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and most recently he played the Scarecrow in The Marvellous Land of Oz. 

Oliver's most recent triumph would be winning Fast+Fresh 2013 with a team composed of Childplayers. The team walked away with 'Best Directors' and 'Best overall production'.
