Darcy has been doing amateur shows in Canberra for 5 years, but this will be his first time back on stage since early 2020 and he is definitely looking forward to it!
Previous show credits include Von Haussler in Mary Poppins (St. Mary Mackillop College), Sir Lancelot in Spamalot (St. Mary Mackillop College), ensemble in Beauty and the Beast (Canberra Philharmonic Society), Kevin in The Producers (Dramatic Productions), and understudy + vocal double for Bob Gaudio and Nick Devito as well as the house band for Jersey Boys (Canberra Philharmonic Society). Darcy was also involved in the Whos Tommy, Grease, and the 70th Anniversary Production (Canberra philharmonic society) which were unfortunately unable to go ahead, and has worked as a crew member on Kiss Me Kate (Queanbeyan Players) and Priscilla (Free Rain Theatre Company).
Darcy has immensely enjoyed working with this group who has absolutely blown him away with their talent and energy. He is glad to be back on the stage and is hoping to present a brilliant show!
View My Personal BioDarcy is relatively new to the Canberra theatre community. He discovered his love for theatre as the result of a dare to audition for a school show in 2016 and has been hooked ever since. Darcy has played lead roles with Mary Mackillop College throughout high school and participated in his first Canberra show in 2019, as an ensemble member in Canberra Philharmonic Society's
'Beauty and the Beast'. Since then, Darcy has been in
'The Producers' with Dramatic Productions as an ensemble member and was part of the rehearsal period for
'The Who's Tommy' organised by Canberra Philharmonic Society. Darcy will also be playing the role of
Moritz Stiefel in the upcoming production of
'Spring Awakening', organised by Showstopper Productions. Darcy hopes to participate in many more shows into the future
