Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
This is Demi's lead role debut, and she couldn't be any happier sharing it with the talented cast and creative team of Sweeney Todd! Still quite new to the musical theatre scene, Sweeney Todd is her third show since making the move to Canberra three years ago for University. Studying a double degree in Psychology and Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation, musical theatre provides the perfect creative outlet and a well deserved escape from the real world. She has appeared in Canberra Philharmonic Society's production of Anything Goes as Chastity in 2016 and as an ensemble member of their 2017 Chicago performance. Currently under the vocal tutelage of Tara Davidson, Demi is advancing her voice focusing mainly on the genres of musical theatre, classical and jazz. Her passion for singing began at a young age, competing in local eisteddfods and being involved in various choirs in and outside of school. Alongside her tight schedule of rehearsals and study she can still be spotted singing her lungs out in the middle of her working day! If you can't get to one of those personal viewings - sit back, relax and enjoy this show!

Demi has always loved theatre and has been lucky enough to perform in a variety of fantastic local shows. Since moving to Canberra in 2015 Demi has become an absolute theatre addict having been involved in back to back shows since 2016. Demi loves the creative relief that theatre provides amongst her crazy work and study life. Most recently Demi starred alongside Daryl Somers in Dramatic Productions 2019 The Producers as Ulla. In the same year, Demi performed as Irene Molloy in Queanbeyan Players Hello Dolly. In 2018 Demi performed in PeeWee Productions arena spectacular We Will Rock You shortly after portraying Jenny Lind in Canberra Philharmonics Barnum. She also enjoyed her collaboration with the Canberra Choral Society and the National Capital Orchestra in their oratorio performance of Monty Python – The Life of Brian, where she was the soprano soloist Judith. Demi has also been seen on stage in Canberra Philharmonics Jesus Christ Superstar as a Soul Sister (March 2018), Dramatic Productions Sweeney Todd as Johanna (Oct 2017), Philharmonics Chicago (2017) and Anything Goes (2016).
