Maureen has been a committee member for the Queanbeyan Players for the last 5 years. She first appeared in a Queanbeyan Players production as a nun in the Sound of Music in June 2006. Since then she has regularly appeared in the chorus of various Queanbeyan Players and ACT Singers productions. Her disguises have included such characters as Mrs Parrot in Snugglepot and Cuddlepie, Bloody Mary's assistant in South Pacific, Pearly Queen and Mrs Brown in Me and My Girl and now Queen Victoria in Annie Get Your Gun.
Prior to re-settling in Australia Maureen appeared in many productions with the Stalham Players, a small village group in the county of Norfolk, England. The theatre group was so small that Maureen often had to double up on either male or female characters in the same production such as Lt Schrank and the girls chorus in West Side Story which involved many costume changes!!!
