Heidi Silberman
ACT
Heidi is a Canberra based performer, director, writer, and educator. Her scripted performances include Hastings in Richard III (Lakespeare), Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Lakespeare), various characters in The Good Doctor (Limbo Theatre) and Lindy Chamberlain in Love/Chamberlain (Moral Panic). She has created, directed and performed in improvised shows including BrideSQUAD, Shakespeare with Zombies, Femme Noire, and The Home Front which had successful seasons in Canberra, at the Adelaide Fringe Festival and regionally. Her plays have been staged in festivals in Canberra, Sydney and Wagga Wagga. She has written for anthologies The Sound of Silence (awarded the 2012 ACT Writing and Publishing Award for Nonfiction) and In God's Hands (shortlisted for the Caleb Award for Poetry 2013). She is co-founder of local theatre company Chrysalis Theatre and co-producer of the Canberra Unscripted Festival. Heidi's alter ego is Dr Peek-a-boo, a Clown Doctor with The Humour Foundation.
