Karyn Tisdell studied singing at Newcastle Conservatorium of Music and obtained her Bachelor of Music (Opera). Since moving to Canberra, Karyn has been involved in many theatre productions including Gina Marino in The Witches of Eastwick (Supa Productions), Jazz Garters II (Canberra Rep), Oklahoma! (Free Rain Theatre); Fiddler on the Roof, Les Miserables, Evita and Lisa in The Pirates of Penzance (Canberra Philo). Karyn is also a principal soloist with Canberra Opera and has performed Second Lady in The Magic Flute, the roles of Carmen and Maddelena in Scenes from Carmen and Rigoletto. In 2016, Karyn undertook the lead roles of Suor Angelica (in Canberra Opera's production of the same name) and Geraldine Granger (the Vicar) in Tempo Theatre's production of The Vicar of Dibley. Karyn runs her own singing studio, La Voce Singing Studio, and teaches singing with dance schools Leg's Dance Studio, Hume and Sparkles Dance Studio, Pearce.
