The Great Gatsby: A Roaring Twenties Musical

15 Sep 2020 to 20 Sep 2020

GET READY TO PARTY…

THE GREAT GATSBY weaves an original adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby with iconic 1920s jazz music and dance to provide an immersive Roaring Twenties experience. Blending fiction and American history, the production follows all the familiar characters from the novel - Gatsby, Daisy, Nick, Tom and Myrtle, as well as famous figures from the 1920s like Coco Chanel, Charlie Chaplin and Al Capone. Featuring a live jazz band, stunning choreo and the beautiful language of this great American classic, this is the perfect night at the theatre…

THE GREAT GATSBY follows aspiring stockbroker Nick Carraway who moves to Long Island and quickly becomes the centre of a web that connects Daisy Buchanan (Nick's debutante cousin), Tom Buchanan (her philandering, polo-playing husband), Myrtle Wilson (Tom’s brassy mistress) and Jordan Baker (a flapper and golfer) to one mysterious Jay Gatsby. Gatsby is a self-made millionaire who has amassed an ill-gotten fortune in his all-consuming obsession to reunite with Daisy. The more closely their lives become entangled, the more quickly they unravel.
