David CannellDavid Cannell

David has been performing in the Canberra Theatre seen for the last 25 years producing a bizarre range of stunningly over the top characters. Over 100 shows has portrayed roles as the Lord High Executioner, King Herod, Frankenfurter, The Big Bad Wolf, the Dentist, Mr Collins, The Major-General, Ali Hakeem, Chef Louis, Buddy in We Will Rock You and many more. In 2002 he received a CAT Award for best variety Performance for Old Time Music Hall and in 2016 received a Canberra critics Circle award for Major General Stanley in Pirates of Penzance. By day he co-ordinates science theatre at Questacon and talks heaps about dinosaurs. It was a pleasure to work so closely with Daryl in this show, and I hope to play Max myself one day. Media
