Sunset Boulevard is one of Andrew Lloyd Webber's more challenging pieces, and Steve is glad to be playing the role of Sheldrake as well as understudying Joe. Steve was recently seen up a tree clutching an egg in the role of Horton the Elephant in Seussical the Musicalwith Ickle Pickle Productions in January this year and has previously played Amos Hart in Free Rain's Chicago. He has also been a featured performer in Annie, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and Jesus Christ Superstar as well as an ensemble member in many other local productions. In the time he has between performing and taking tap classes with the fabulous Netty Sharpe he is also runs SteNita Sets with his wife Anita Davenport, which has designed sets for local productions of Grease, The Velveteen Rabbit and Chicago for Free Rain Theatre Company, How to Succeed in Business and Anniefor Phoenix Players and Oliver! for Ickle Pickle Productions. He was also part of the design and construction team for Free Rain'sPhantom of the Opera. After the sun sets over the Boulevard, Steve will be performing in and designing sets for Ickle Pickle's production of Cinderella, then rocking out a set for Phoenix Players' High Fidelity - for which he already has a list of his five favourite bands prepared! He has welcomed the opportunity to work this fantastic team and has enjoyed working on this dark, iconic musical. Media
