Grease

29 Jul 2015 to 15 Aug 2015

GREASE had its Broadway premiere in 1972 and has triumphed across the globe.  In 1979 GREASE took over the record as the longest running show in the history of Broadway and the hit film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John proved to be the highest grossing movie musical ever.  Everywhere it opened GREASE struck a universal chord with its irresistible mix of adolescent angst, vibrant physicality and 1950s pop culture.  It is the No. 1 Party Musical, it’s got groove, it’s got meaning and it’s burning up the quarter mile!

It’s the original High School musical, featuring all the unforgettable songs including You’re The One That I Want, Grease Is The Word, Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted to You, Sandy, Greased Lightnin’ and many more.  GREASE has maintained its everlasting popularity, proving that teenage angst and love’s young dream remain timeless and universal themes.  So dust off your leather jackets, pull on your bobby-socks and take a trip to a simpler time as ‘bad boy’ Danny and ‘the girl next door’ Sandy fall in love all over again.  Be there or be square!

‘Fast, furious and thrilling, an injection of raw energy… and fun, fun, fun’

‘Grease doesn’t have a message… it gives a flavour of being a teenager in the 50s when rock ‘n’ roll and putting Grease on your hair were the most important things in life…’
